Hi Dara

   Things have come a long way in the past year or so.  
In addition to Firefox, we (Séamus Ó Ciardhuáin and I) now
have about 75% of the core KDE system translated.  I use
it as my everyday desktop at work (Gentoo Linux) and
everything works beautifully.

OpenOffice is also about 75% done now.  I did most of this
myself, and my Irish isn't as good as Séamus's, but I wouldn't
call the translation "poor" by any stretch.

We could use lots of help on both of these projects
if you (Dara, or anyone else out there) are interested.
Translators are needed, but also proofreaders and testers,
so don't worry if you don't have perfect Irish.  Just drop
me a line.  Oh, also, if there is anyone who knows the OpenOffice
build system, we could use some technical help with that.

Dáithí, you mentioned my grammar checker
(http://borel.slu.edu/gramadoir/) -- I noticed also
that Gentoo removed the ebuild from Portage - lack of
demand I suppose :(   Anyway, the whole thing is now available
as a Perl module.  Either download it from CPAN:
