This is kinda OT, but since the list was quiet today, I said I'd ask
anyway!
I've picked up a Sparc Classic with a Solaris install already on it. I
was going to wipe and rebuild it with Sol 10, but the hardware doesn't
support it. In the meantime, I'd like to have a Solaris install on it
(until I pick up Sol 9 cd's).
The machine is a Sparc 32 with no removeable media drives. I've managed
to get it to netboot (tftp) the debian sarge installer, but I don't want
to install Debian on it.
So, does anyone know of a netboot sparc 32 rescue linux distro with ufs
support? The only other thing I can think of to try is to boot it as a
diskless client. The only thing I need to do is reset the root password,
because it's failing a fsck on boot, and I don't have the root pass for
the box.
So, any recommendations?
