You mean: S10 doesnt support the hardware, surely? ;) Sun4m support 
was finally dropped in S10. Only (most) sun4u hardware is supported - 
200MHz+ UltraSPARC machines are relatively cheap on ebay.

Don't know about linux, but what about NetBSD sparc? They have 
netbootable images on their site, and NetBSD should support reading 
Solaris UFS filesystems (be sure to mount read-only..).
