[ILUG] tabbed transparent x11 terminal

not gnome-terminal which pushes X up to 20-40% cpu usage when scrolling 
through a file in vim.

I ordinarily use  aterm... which I like alot... if aterm had

a) tabs.

r) better fonts

b-q indicating the importance of better fonts in this domain...

aterm would be perfect.

What I'm looking for is aterm with tabs !=materm, which the last time I 
used it, was a bit buggy, all due respect to materm 
developers/users/zealots.
