We're using a 16 port, dual user Avocent AV2000R KVM switch [1] which
is connected to Sun boxes (Netras, E250s, and U10s) running Solaris
7&8, and to HP and other Intel boxes running a mix of Windows NT,
Windows 2000, Windows 2003 server, Debian Linux 3, FreeBSD 4.7, and
SuSE 9 Linux Enterprise. It's rock solid but a little on the dear side
- about EUR 2500 including a dozen adaptors/dongles. It uses standard
RJ45 cables between the server dongles and the KVM itself.
