[ILUG] S/W patent letter

Folks,

My conscience is rightly irking me in a big way with respect to the E.U. 
and Ireland's position on software patents and my lack of involvement 
in helping the cause against the potential new regulations.

As some of you know, I work in the Dept. of Computer Science in UCD and 
I would like to rally the staff and post-graduates to take some e-mail 
action. It's a large bunch (approx. 200) of people actually involved in 
the industry.

Now, a group e-mail asking everyone to send an e-mail usually has little 
or no effect. I'm like to put together a PHP form simply asking for 
name, e-mail and signature (i.e. position, etc) and "click the box next 
to the MEP(s) you'd like to receive this e-mail". 

I know Eoin Ryana and P. de Rossa have been mentioned as being 
favourable in their response so I'd like to tailor a "keep it up" 
e-mail to them. Any others of this helpful ilk?

For the others, I'd like to know if there are any draft texts out there 
that would make a good base for an e-mail campaign targeting the 6PM 
deadline tomorrow.

Any paragraphs, thoughts, links, etc will be gratefully received.
