[ILUG] FC3 Sound Volume Problem

How can I solve this probem in FC3 on my thinkpad t22:
When I try to open Volume Control, I get this error message: "Sorry, no 
mixer elements and/or devices found".  The sound card and system sounds 
are working well but I cannot  increase volume. I do not know, which 
package is missing.
