[ILUG] NIS and new users

I have just installed a new user on our NIS server, nothing special except 
they will have a private group and will be excluded from the main user group. 
I can log in as the user on the server but I can't seem to get any of the 
client machines to accept the login. The other users on the NIS server can 
log into the clients. I restarted the yp services on the server but still no 
luck... any suggestions of what I am missing?
