Normally yes, but since the "server" motherboard/processor died of old age
(3 years old) I've been forced to revive the offline backup, and that one
runs whiteboxlinux, AS2.1 clone.
Its more a generic question. I've seen issues with various kernels from
various distributions and was wondering if there were any usefull tools
available for troubleshooting NFS issues, rather than going through the
usual, is portmap running, what does blah blah blah say, etc.
I was reminded of this from last weeks thread on ILUG for why a mandrake
10 client was hanging - cannot remember who asked the question. In that
scenario I believe the solution was a simple "service nfs restart".
But as this issues comes up regular enough, it would be nice to have some
tools handy. Just wondering...
