Thanks for your response.
I probably didn't express myself properly.
I only have one interface, eth0, on my laptop,
and that is what I am using with both WiFi cards.
(I am using the default orinoco_cs driver.)
My desktop has several interfaces,
which is why I use the network 192.168.3.0 ,
but I don't think that is relevant.
The only sense I can make of it
is that it has something to do with dhcp leases,
but I don't see anything relevant there in the files I've looked at.
