So it does, to my surprise. But then, you can always rely on Linux

The  author  will  give you no guarantee whatsoever, that this program 
works in any specific way at all. It may well destroy all data on any 
device connected directly, indirectly, or not at all, to any system 
this software is used on.

I wouldn't be surprised if their documentation has similar warnings.

The bottom line is that resizing a RAID-5 array on the fly is really 
playing with fire, as disk blocks, containing your data, are zipping 
around the place with wild abandon. The original poster did specify 
that his data was valuable, so he'd better be sure to have a backup 
before trying any of these resizing operations.
