[ILUG] open list abuse

(deleting entire previous post so I can't be accused of top-posting OR
bottom-posting).

It seems a little tolerance would go a long to making this list more
friendly, especially to people who want to discuss things vaguely
related to Linux. Both top-posting and bottom-posting can be misused
and the root argument seems to be 'don't post replies that are
difficult to understand'. Well this is affected by how well people
think out their response and articulate it and probably less so by
exactly where in the message they insert it.

For the record, I'm inclined to agree with Rory; there are times when
it's better to reply with a single coherent message at the top and
there are times when it's better to refute each point in-line. I'd
like the freedom to choose which I use and not have some rule (or
worse a server filter) force some scheme on me.
