Hi all,

openssh 3.7 incorporates a feature called "AddressFamily", where you can set it
to use IPv4 instead of the default IPv6.

As it stands, RHEL3 uses 3.6xxx openssh, and the issue is :

1. ssh FQDN works fine
2. ssh IPADDRESS works fine
3. ssh hostname has a delay of anything up to 1 minute.

So, to resolve this I can either do

1. "ssh -4"
2. Open a "feature request" for this chez Redhat, but wont get included until at
least the next quarter.
3. Force RHEL3 to do ipv4 lookups first. Migrating to ipv6 is out of my control.

So, I've just fuckinggoogled and its not working.
Anyone actually achieved this? Prionnsias?

regards
Conor.
