[ILUG] Logwatch - dramatic fall in "attacks"

Has there been a general fall in "bad packets" over the last month?

I recently changed to a static address,
and the number of dopped packets has fallen dramatically (ten-fold).

Is this just a coincidence?
Is there any reason why dhcp addresses should be attacked more?
