Hi,
The ROS site mentions linux as a future development (http://www.ros.ie/info/faq_systemreq.html).
I think I saw this for the on the site about 2 years ago when I first started
using ROS so I wouldn't assume that this is imminent. I asked them about
it at the time and the girl said that some people had used their site with
Linux but she didn't have any details about it. Reading between the lines
I'm guessing this meant either IE with Wine or even just a full windows
installation in Virtual PC or similar.
It is strange though since as far as I can tell, it uses signed java applets for
the certificate management. It seems as though someone went to the trouble
of writing the certificate management components in non portable Java (could
be wrong though, I didn't spend too much time on it).
