I would be interested in what the problems where. We use Openoffice here and 
the complaints can be boiled down to two types:

1. I have open/saved as MS Office and the formatting has gone wrong.

2. In MS Office I do xyz and I can't/don't know how to in OpenOffice.

Problems with formatting have improved but its not and never will be perfect. 
We send our documents out of the company as pdf. If they were expecting a 
seamless interchange of editable documents with MS Office users they will be 
disappointed.

The second problem usually involves people who have no concept of how to use 
the help system.

Are you going to share your ideas on making the transition less painful???
