[ILUG] os x, mail.app and linux...

os x is full of unixy goodness. or at least bsd-y goodness.

but it is not filled with x goodness. and that sucks.

my mom uses os x. and she uses the apple mail client (mail.app -
or is that a next-ism?) which uses the apple display postscript thing
(or whatever non-standard gui they use).

when the mail client magically decides to forget pop or smtp settings,
i can't just ssh into the machine and run the mail client and display
it to my machine. if it used x i could, but it doesn't, so i can't.

(and yes, x via satellite would suck rocks, but it would suck less rocks
then explaining to a non-techie user how to configure an application
you don't know how to use via the phone)

so, are there commandline tools for apple's mail client that i can use
via ssh, or is there a way to get an os x application to remotely
display in a way that can be tunneled through ssh?
