[ILUG] Fonts (unicode? issue)

Modern linux distributions use a UTF-8 encoding of the unicode standard.
The characters you've shown in your mail indicate that they are using an
ISO-based encoding.  If they switch to a UTF-8 encoding (export
LC_ALL=fr_FR.utf8) it should work swimmingly.
