It does!
But what if there is no overarching directory? In my case I
want to backup three partitions, but I certainly don't want to
backup /.
A quick fix (which seems to work for my system) is to create a little
directory of symbolic links to the partitions I want, and tell mkisofs
to follow links. But what if the partitions themselves contained links
that pointed all over the shop?
