[ILUG] usb sound cards

howya,

i'm thinking about getting a decent soundcard because i'm fed up with
listening to my flac files  through the headphone jack on my
motherboard. i'm tempted by usb soundcards because it makes sense to
keep the audio electronics out of the way of all the emf in the pc
case.

i've never actally used a usb soundcard before, i'll be using ubuntu
so i'm assumimg they'll just plug and play. has anyone had any bad
experiences with them?
