Have some kind of critical fault simulation that puts them under 
pressure to solve a problem specified time. A partition filling up, some 
program going haywire or a possible security breach - the kind of stuff 
that sysadmins deal with as part of their work. And if they object, make 
them edit the sendmail config by hand.
