[ILUG] Problem with network card

I've recently turned on a old box that I brought over to England from
Ireland. Before the box was brought over, it had been on 24x7 for a
significant amount of time.

The box contains a Realtek network card (at least that's what I think
it is - I bought the card yonks ago). This card was working when it
was turned off in Ireland.

On booting, I see the switch port on the Cisco 837 router come up.
Further, I see a light on the card at the back of the card on the box.
However, it's not working. The server is currently complaining
that it cannot load the card - on removing and reinserting the kernel
module for this I get the error

"8139too: 00:10.0: region #0 not a PIO resource, aborting"

and there is no eth0 device to configure.

I've tried reseating the card, and I've booted with an FC3 2.4 and 2.6
kernel - none of this seems to make any difference.

Anyone got any ideas (including "tell pron to bring a network card
with him when he comes over")

Thanks,

Thomas
