Oops. Then arping can't be used to send gratuitious ARPs. IIRC the 
'heartbeat' (on linux-ha.org) includes some kind of util to do so. 
Despite the hostname, heartbeat works on other platforms via libpcap 
iirc. BTW - what is server A?
