Pointless running virtualisation on a laptop as it's intended for network use.
Use a popular search engine.

No.

No. It serves a usefull purpose, developpers can test multiple platforms on a
single node (OK maybe a laptop in this scenario), but the main reason clients
deploy it is deploying services.

I have customers running SQL and exchange in win2k3 under vmware esx.
Works great. Big central point of failure though (single node I'm 
talking about)
