Personally I have a cowon iAudio U3 player. Basically with most (possibly all)
of cowon's players once you have the USB connector its just plug into any
machine that understands USB storage devices and copy across your media. If its
in a format that the player understands it will play it, otherwise it will just
show the file in the file browser.

Don't see why all media players can't function like that, very useful if I want
to store some additional data on the device as well :). Also doesn't require any
software to be installed on the host machine unless the OS needs USB drivers.
