[ILUG] Moderation of list posts from non subscribers

Further to a motion passed at the AGM, posts to ILUG from non
subscriber addresses will now be moderated, in the interests of
killing the last vestiges of spam to the list.
What this means is that any email sent to the list from an address
which is not subscribed to the list is held in a queue for moderation
by our team of volunteer moderators (I guess we have enough for the
moment. If any of those drop out, we may call for more volunteers).
What this might mean to you is that a post you might send from an
address other than the one you normally use will get stuck in the
moderation queue. This might cause you some confusion, and then you
might realise what has happened, and you might send the post again -
and then the list gets it twice, after the moderators get round to
releasing it.
So, in the interests of everyone's sanity, please visit http://
mail.linux.ie/mailman/listinfo/ilug and subscribe any addresses you
might use to post to the list.
Having subscribed each of your addresses, when you follow the
confirmation link you receive in an email, don't forget to login and
to turn off delivery for all except your primary address (unless of
course you want multiple copies of the wisdom of ILUG). You may want
to change some other flags there too, e.g. monthly password reminders
for the extra accounts.

P.S. Please DON'T start a discussion about this, unless you have
specific questions, and I hope the above is clear enough that you
won't have.
Other options such as closing the list to non-subscribers have been
rejected by the membership and will NOT be considered so please don't
waste everybody's time.
