[ILUG] Ubuntu regular or Kubuntu?

I have used ubuntu on my laptop with no problems for about 2 years and 
it was a totally stable rock
of an OS. I then tried  KDE after Mark Shuttleworth stated it was his 
default desktop I wish I had never
heard of Mark Shuttleworth. No end of messing with apt and .conf files...

If you want reliability go with GNOME its boring but "it just works" :-)

It must be a long time since anyone was hurt at fencing practice.
