[ILUG] Suse 10.1 and VNC

Hi guys. I've recently installed suse 10.1 on a box which is in a datacenter. I have setup vnc on there for remote sessions which works quite well.
The problem i'm having is whether i log in as a user or as root, i can't open any web pages from firefox within the vnc session...
I've looked all over the place for a solution, but i can't find any :(
Any suggestions?
