Firefox is another great example of lack of exception handling. When
you run out of space in the partition your Firefox profile is stored
in (i.e. /home), it will not complain. It just will not load any
pages. You can type a URI in the location bar, hit enter, click links
to your heart's content, but nothing happens.
I learned to set up a disk space alarm, or I found that every six
months, I would run out of space and spend 15 minutes cursing my
computer before I figured out what was going on. :)
