[ILUG] Thanks

Hey,

I'd like to say thanks to you guys for your advise the other day and to
introduce myself a bit. I'm a complete beginner in Linux. I'd been
interested in Liux for ages but only decided recently, whilst hungover and
angry, to install it. Unfortunately for Windows I was unable to create a
partition on my disk so was forced to re-format the disk and install Fedeora
Core on all of it. So at the moment I've got a laptop that works perfectly
and looks good but won't connect to the internet, play mp3s or dvds and is
therefore pretty much useless to me.

I'm hoping that the more user friendly Ubuntu will help me over come these
obstacles and allow me to get to grips with Linux.
