Most of the spam that does currently make it to the list could be avoided
by filtering out mails with an empty body (subject line-only spam like
http://www.linux.ie/lists/pipermail/ilug/2006-October/090326.html). That
is, empty body before adding the list footer.
Actually, I need to qualify that: the spam through the list that makes it
to my inbox is almost exclusively subject line-only. The list archive,
however, lists a lot of stuff that never ever makes it here, which means
that SourceForge's filter (SpamAssassin) is configured to be more aggressive.
