Much more tiring  than a mouse.

I have a Wacom serial (the USB are similar). it has a button on the pen 
and is pressure sensitive tip and presure sensitive eraser end, no wires 
or batteries.

it's best for a drawing package. Iv'e not used it on Linux, but I 
believe there is Linux support. I'/ve had several non-Wacom inferior 
pen/tablets.

It's more like a touch screen than a mouse as normally movement is 
absolute rather than relative
