I have a Genius Wizard Pen 5x4 (I think it was, it hasn't seen very
heavy use). It took a little bit of doing, but once I'd gotten it
working (which at the time involved downloading a separate binary! Bad,
I know) went well enough.

No long term use, so I wouldn't know. I can say that it was rather
disorienting, though I don't know if that was a learning curve thing.
Have you considered a trackball? Or, ion3? :)

The model I have, there's buttons on the pen itself. You can also tap
the surface.
