Please also consider whatever hardware you want to use to talk with it 
needs to be able to dhcp.

The external ip that hits the router will be passed on in bridged mode.

If this provides no help then:

On the back of the router there is a reset button. You power off and 
power on with that button depressed, it it should restore to its pre 
"treatment" condition.
