With Ubuntu, while it is 98% similar to Fedora Core, some configuration
files are different, and you will find the networking configuration
different as well.
It is OK if you can get a graphical to for configuration, but it can
lead to confusion.
I have nothing against Ubuntu, I use Fedora Core 6 and I am comfortable
with it, but I think in your situation, while using Ubuntu might be a
good learning experience, is it worth the time taken to learn the
differences between the two distributions?
