[ILUG] IMAP email on phones

I've got a Nokia e61 and the IMAP support is almost perfect. It supports
IMAP IDLE properly too, so I can stay connected to the dovecot mail server
and get email "pushed" to the phone, rather than relying on scheduled
polling. I'm using about 1-2MB a day with a 24x7 connection, so a good data
plan is a must unless you want to get ripped off by O2. 

It also supports connection groups, so it'll automatically switch between
WLAN, 3G & GPRS connections as needed, to keep costs down.

Well, at the least I can tell you that the Nokia E50 has a decent enough
IMAP client - works over SSL for reading, works with SASL for sending; and
you can delete mails from either the phone only or both phone and server.

The only issue I have with it is that, if you haven't used it in a while,
but have been reading your mail from elsewhere, when you reconnect with the
phone, it'll grab all the headers of the latest mail, but mark them all as
unread. Not a major issue really, just more of an annoyance.
