I don't know of anything that does what you want, but

is perhaps at least a basis for the easy part of taking a folder of
images and making a slideshow from them, except that it automatically
applies random fades between elements instead of what doing a preview
run through and launching some sort of audio recorder whose output
it'll use for subsequent runs.
