Now that I'm no longer using the pocket PC and instead have changed to an ultra portable laptop running Fedora 9, I'm looking for an application that has the same type of functionality as avantgo that will run on this machine.

It can be configured to follow all the links on a page to the first second third ...... levels. It is perfect for a site such as the text based irish examiner where the majority of articles are linked to via the front page.

If you want the simplest solution use wget. You can recursively follow
links, control whether it extends to links outside the original domain
or not, control the link depth it drills down to, convert all links to
local file:// links, etc. And, I'm betting it's already oon your
laptop... ;-)
