The gdmflexiserver thing is worth trying. The other users session 
will then appear as a window on your current desktop, probably much 
easier to work with.

If you dont have that, running a vncserver with 'gnome-session' as 
the ~/.vnc/xstartup would let you access userB's from UserA's 
desktop. If you already have UserB's desktop running (via 
fast-user-switch), then GNOME has a built-in VNCserver you can run 
(vino) - but I'm not sure how you enable that.
