 if the script's authur wrote ‘#!/bin/sh’ then yes,
 the author _said_ any Bourne(/POSIX?)-ish shell should
 work.   but _saying_ that, and _meaning_ that, or even
 realising that that is what saying that means, are
 very different things!  I've seen far too many scripts
 which are clearly specific to bash(1) that start that
 way ....  I'm guessing because /bin/sh being a link
 to ‘bash’ is(? was?) fairly common, and (not guessing
 here) far too many script authors have no idea what
 they are doing.   (plus, of course, there's always just
 the simple mistake.)
