Conor, ignoring the functional advantages of hard disks over tapes,
can you quantify the cost per GB for both?

Right, that's basically using hard disk technology,
where the platters are in the Rev "disks" and
only one controller and heads, to reduce costs.

I would try and use the same filesystem as the host if possible,
but the Rev controller seems too clever for its own good and
just support UDF?
The cheapest you can buy Hard disks hovers around €60,
and this currently equates to 250GB (€0.24/GB).
Even if you buy 10 of them it's only going to cost
you €50 extra (((60-35)*10)-300)
