[ILUG] Ubuntu update strategy for kernel

 2.6.23 fixes it - at least on my Vostro 1500 running Gentoo.

 I'd say you're better off building your own. The actual patch is a simple
 one-liner.

 That said, I still haven't been able to get an external microphone to work.
 The internal works fine, and the web cam.
