I use gkrellm. It has a built-in counter that shows you traffic on a given 
interface by day, month etc. Plus it gives you shiny system stats :)

I've got some problem with my 3's broadband: the modem I use to get the connection to the Internet is a 3's Huwaei e220 usb modem wich, thank a guy of ILUG, I managed to install on my Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon.

My last *huge* bill was 320€: as I don't want to have a bad surprise like that and I could face this problem just by using the software provided for Windows users, program which  allows to monitor the updated data's traffic and check eventual warnings related to that sent by 3.

I tried to install it and use it with wine, but apparently only the installation one was successful... Can anyone help me, please?
