[ILUG] Dell, Ubuntu Studio and Qemu?

By default, on consumer PCs, you don't get OS recovery CDs - perhaps  
they do provide a bootable test CD, but I've not seen one. So, if you  
completely hose your HD to instal A.N. Other operating system, you  
have no way of reinstalling your original OS.

Sometimes, in such a situation, people have been known to tell a  
small porkie to Bangalore Bertha and lead her to the conclusion that  
their hard disk is damaged in a bad way, and BB then finds herself at  
the point in her script which says "Send customer replacement hard  
disk".  Of course I know that no ILUG member would take advantage of  
Dell's support staff in such a mean way.
