Hmmmm, I get this on a AMD X2 4600+, with RAID6 (6x500G WD drives)
/dev/md4:
Timing cached reads: 2300 MB in 2.00 seconds = 1150.91 MB/sec
Timing buffered disk reads: 408 MB in 3.00 seconds = 135.95 MB/sec
