Hmm. There is also another, far bigger issue - the connection between
your ISP and the rest of the world. If that sucks, it doesn't really
matter how good the connection between you and the ISP (ADSL, wireless,
whatever) is... and I don't think any of the ISPs advertise this.

I had to cancel clearwire over this issue - their wireless connectivity
was fine but they had so little upstream bandwidth that most non-Irish
websites were unusable...

All the "speed tests" do is measure the speed between you and the server
running the speed test. This gives very little indication as to whether
your connection will be any good in any other circumstances...
