Fair enough, but the point remains : 2Mbit DSL @ 48:1 contention means
you're possibly getting 2048/48 kbps = 42.666 kbps or dialup speeds.
Ping times, I know they're important, but I've yet to see an ISP that
gives a hoot about them in their T&C, they're very hard to guarantee
outside of LANs / LAN extensions anyways, and the speed of light in a
vacuum is only so fast !
