on a completely different note the latest argos has on page 538 a 
wireless gaming adapter.  this is an external usb belkin device that 
claims to add wireless to devices with an ethernet port.  no drivers 
required.

if it is the one on this page

then it's powered by usb so won't require a wall wart.

only downside is that the page says wep and not wpa.
