I am considering one of these :
http://configure.euro.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?c=ie&cs=iebsdt1&kc=305&l=en&oc=PE1T1052&s=bsd&sbc=pedge_t105
It's for nothing really, and will do everything I require as well. Not to
mention 4GB ECC RAM for the price of a mac mini or thereabouts.
However, my next purchase should be green. And the CPU(s) runs at 103watts
rather than 63watts...
I really want a low power CPU which will have all the required features for
virtualisation --> VT, 64bit etc etc.
I dont mind spending more money to be green, as it will pay for itself in
the long term anyway - or will it? I normally keep machines for around 3 to
4 yars before replacing them. Things die of their own accord anyway.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Am I being too picky -- will 103watts be
green enough?
Anyone know what that graphics card is like? Only does 2D, but that's not a
problem, but I will be replacing a small box beside me here so I shall use
it for web surfing as well as virtualisation.
