The "out of the box" Eee PC 900 is eminently suitable for Aunt Tilly.
One of my non-tech lads has it and it works perfectly with our Dlink
Airpoint/router using WPA. (Why is anyone using WEP?)
Web, Email, OpenOffice etc all pre-installed. Simple Tabbed Desktop.
Only a "power user" would want to change the version of Linux/Window
Manager.
Skype working on it fine too.
It seems easier than OSX, XP, Vista, Ubuntu(gnome or KDE), Win98, NT3.x,
Win3.x, Archos 605, Symbian Smart Phone. Much faster than a Vostro
running XP or my 1.8GHz P4 laptop running Ubuntu
Seriously more useful screen than 7" version and less fisher pricy,
gives appearance of more solid construction.
Keyboard is nicer for me than my Wifes full size Acer, though not as
good as my Inspiron 8200.
